Stacey
For Osseo School Board

A voice for our community.

Stacey Yurcek, Osseo School Board candidate for ISD 279.

Listening first. Because everyone in our community should be heard.

I’m Stacey, and I believe the best decisions for our Osseo Area Schools happen when the community is actually heard.  As a mother with two in the district, I see the daily impact of school board choices at my own kitchen table in Brooklyn Park.

I’m running for the ISD 279 School Board because a school board shouldn't just talk to parents and teachers, it needs to  listen to them. I’m here to be a bridge, ensuring that the needs of our families and the professional expertise of our educators are at the center of every conversation. As a member of the District Planning & Advisory Council (DPAC), I am ready to turn community feedback into real results for our scholars.

- Stacey

I’ve spent my time listening to neighbors, educators, and my fellow members on the District Planning & Advisory Council (DPAC). Here is what our community says matters most for Osseo schools.

Prepare Scholars for the Future

Our children deserve to be prepared for their own future. That means providing a balanced education that masters the basics while giving them the confidence to navigate new technologies. I want to ensure every scholar graduates feeling ready for the real world because our community gave them the right foundation.

Here is what I am hearing.

Support Educators

Our educators are the heart of this district, and they deserve a voice in the decisions that impact their classrooms. When we support our educators with the resources they need and the respect they’ve earned, we create a district where the best talent wants to stay.

Safe and Welcoming Environment

Safety is non-negotiable and belonging is our goal. A school should be a place where every student feels secure and valued for exactly who they are. When our classrooms reflect the warmth and diversity of our community, our scholars can focus on what matters most: learning.

From Birch Grove Elementary to Today

Brooklyn Park has always been home. I grew up attending Birch Grove Elementary and I'm proud to be back here raising my own family.

Professionally, I’ve built my career in marketing. My work experience has focused on taking stakeholder concerns and translating them into actionable initiatives. It’s work that requires listening, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the people you serve and deciding the best way to move forward.

Whether I was volunteering with the Edinbrook PTO or serving on the District Planning & Advisory Council (DPAC), my goal has always been the same: to be a bridge between our community and the district.

I’m not here to over-promise; I’m here to work collaboratively and keep our schools moving in the right direction.

Nate and I are proud to be raising our boys in the same district where I started my education. Our schools aren't just a policy issue for us, they are our daily life.
